DJ / Artist Terms

These DJ / Artist Terms apply when a DJ, producer, performer, guest or other contributor broadcasts, performs or supplies media for THE DOOR.

They supplement the general THE DOOR Terms of Use.

1. ARTIST OWNERSHIP

The Artist retains ownership of the Artist's original music, recordings, visuals and other original works.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Artist's original work to CN1 or THE DOOR.

2. LIMITED PERMISSION TO OPERATE THE SESSION

For the duration and purposes of the agreed session, the Artist grants THE DOOR a limited, non-exclusive permission to technically receive, process, transmit and display the Artist's authorized live performance and submitted media as necessary to operate the event.

This permission does not grant THE DOOR general ownership or unrestricted commercial exploitation rights over the Artist's work.

Any separate promotional, commercial, recorded or replay use should be agreed separately where necessary.

3. MUSIC AND MEDIA RIGHTS

The Artist is responsible for ensuring that they have the rights, licenses, permissions or other lawful basis necessary for all music, video, images, artwork, samples, performances, voices, likenesses and other media they transmit or provide.

This includes, where applicable:

• original music;
• commercial recordings;
• samples;
• remixes;
• bootlegs;
• prerecorded video;
• music videos;
• third-party visualizers;
• images and artwork;
• guest appearances;
• AI-generated or AI-assisted material.

Acceptance of these Terms does not create rights that the Artist does not actually possess.

The Artist’s confirmation that they possess the necessary rights does not create rights that they do not actually possess and does not replace any independent licence, authorization or legal obligation that may apply to the Operator.

THE DOOR may restrict or prohibit the use of commercial recordings until the Operator has validated the applicable music-licensing framework.

THE DOOR may stop or restrict content where necessary due to a rights complaint, legal issue, platform policy, safety concern or licensing risk.

4. VIDEO, CAMERA AND GUESTS

If the Artist uses a camera or transmits video, the Artist is responsible for ensuring that people intentionally appearing in the broadcast have been included lawfully and that any required permissions have been obtained.

The Artist must not knowingly expose private or confidential material in the broadcast.

5. AI-GENERATED MATERIAL

If the Artist uses AI-generated or AI-assisted music, voices, images or video, the Artist confirms that the applicable AI-service terms permit the intended use and that the Artist has any additional permissions required.

The Artist must not knowingly provide unlawful impersonations or content that violates third-party rights.

6. STREAMING CREDENTIALS

Any DJ Booth stream key, private link, access token or broadcast credential is confidential.

The Artist must not share private streaming credentials with unauthorized third parties.

THE DOOR may rotate, disable or revoke credentials for security reasons.

7. TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Artist is responsible for their own reasonable production setup, including DJ equipment, computer, audio interface, camera, microphone and internet connection where applicable.

THE DOOR may provide technical connection information but does not guarantee compatibility with every device, software package or network.

Audio, video or network failures may interrupt a session.

8. NO RECORDING BY DEFAULT

THE DOOR will not intentionally create a public replay or permanent recording of the Artist's performance by default unless this has been separately agreed or clearly disclosed.

If recording is proposed, any necessary permissions and rights should be handled separately.

9. PROMOTIONAL CLIPS

THE DOOR must not assume an unrestricted right to create promotional clips from a performance.

If THE DOOR and the Artist want to use extracts, screenshots or clips for promotion, the scope of that use should be agreed with the Artist and must respect any underlying third-party rights.

A separate promotional permission may be collected for this purpose.

10. MODERATION AND INTERRUPTION

THE DOOR may mute, interrupt, stop or remove a live session where reasonably necessary for:

• security;
• technical stability;
• moderation;
• legal compliance;
• copyright or rights complaints;
• privacy concerns;
• platform-policy compliance;
• protection of users or infrastructure.

11. PAYMENT

No payment, revenue share, prize, token reward or other compensation is owed to an Artist unless it has been expressly agreed for that Artist or event.

Any agreed compensation should be documented separately.

Each party remains responsible for its own tax or reporting obligations where applicable.

12. NO GUARANTEE OF AUDIENCE OR RESULTS

THE DOOR does not guarantee:

• a minimum audience;
• follower growth;
• exposure;
• bookings;
• revenue;
• tips;
• token value;
• future events;
• commercial results.

13. ARTIST CONDUCT

Artists using THE DOOR must comply with the general community rules and must not knowingly transmit illegal, abusive, malicious or infringing content.

14. LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by applicable law, each party remains responsible for its own actions and content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory rights.

15. ACCEPTANCE

Before a DJ or Artist can start a live broadcast, display:
